The veteran actor shed his clothes for a scene in the comedy caper and he filmed it at 30 St Mary Axe, the London skyscraper known as the Gherkin, which was designed by famed architect Norman Foster and features floor-to-ceiling windows.

Director Michael Hoffman reveals Rickman didn’t ask him to close the set for his naked scene and went ahead with filming despite the worry of being overlooked by passers-by.

He says, “I did think it would be very hard to have an open set in an all-glass Norman Foster building. But he didn’t ask for us to close it off – he was very brave.”

Rickman, 66, jokes, “Sometimes you can get costumes you can’t bear wearing. So it was a relief not to have to say, ‘I don’t like this costume.’”

The film, about an art curator who seeks revenge on his boss by selling him a fake Monet painting, is a remake of Sir Michael Caine’s 1966 movie of the same name and also featured an embarrassing scene for Rickman’s co-star Colin Firth.

The Oscar winner had to film without his trousers in front of real guests at London’s upmarket Savoy hotel.

Twilight stars Nikki Reed and Jackson Rathbone appeared at the spot Twihards are camping for next week’s Breaking Dawn – Part 2 world premiere.

Nikki and Jackson, who play Rosalie and Jasper Hale in the vampire saga, appeared on-stage in front of fans outside the Staples Center yesterday.

The eager fans, who set up camp on Thursday, have pitched tents to ensure they get a glimpse of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart on Monday.

The appearance, which saw Nikki sing alongside husband Paul McDonald, is part of a series of activities organised by movie bosses.

Fan Bri-Anne Glover spent a year planning her trip to camp out for the Twilight premiere.

She said: “We’re never going to have this opportunity again. This is truly the most exciting experience that I’ve had.”

Not long to wait now for Twi-hards to see the last chapter in Bella and Edward’s story.

The final Twilight movie is out in cinemas next Friday.

Christopher Maloney opened the show with his own take on Elton John’s classic I’m Still Standing.

It was a cheeky reference to how the crowd booed him and mentor Gary Barlow on last week’s epic show.

Christopher failed to impress the judges though, with Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh labelling him, the karaoke king.

Jahmene gave his all as he hit the stage singing Angels by Robbie Williams, looking a little nervous.

But his version was a massive hit, with Louis saying: “You have so much soul, it was an amazing song choice.”

District3 went back to basics with a strong vocal performance, singing Eric Clapton’s Tears in Heaven.

Nicole was reduced to tears, telling the boys the song had a special place in her heart.

Ella decided to mix it up, performing the modern hit, Written In The Stars by urban legend, Tinie Tempah.

Louis was blown away by her strong voice, saying: “I think you’re the best girl we’ve had in the competition since Leona Lewis.”

Rylan revealed he was a massive fan of the Spice Girls, as he met  his icon Geri Halliwell in the week.

The flambouyant Essex lad took his performance to the next level as he pretended to parachute into the studio.

Dressed in a Union Jack jacket, Rylan even got some nice words from Gary Barlow, with the Take That star commenting: “In the interest of fun, that was fantastic.”

I know, we were in shock too.

James Arthur’s version of Hometown Glory, by Adele, was a big hit with the crowd, earning a standing ovation from his mentor Nicole.

Gary told him: “It was just brilliant, you’re ready right now to record.”

One Direction showed the hopefuls how to close the show in style, as they hit the stage looking rather dapper while singing their new song ‘Little Things over a screaming crowd of fans.

What a show.

The former Cheers star recently revealed she fell for Swayze while they were filming their 1980s TV miniseries North and South, and told how her secret crush went nowhere because they were both married.

Alley never slept with Swayze, but she now insists it wasn’t for a lack of trying – she invited him into her bed after a night of drinking.
