Kris Jenner’s iPhone Case Says She’s “Queen of Effing Everything”

Sunday, April 28th, 2013

Kris Jenner is known for speaking her mind, but sometimes she’d rather let her phone case do the talking. The mother bear of the Kardashian clan was photographed at the E! Upfronts on Apr. 22 using her iPhone, which featured a cover printed with a few choice words: “Queen of F–king Everything.”

The famous momager, 57, who looked amazing at the event in a red lace Valentino dress, whipped out the gadget to take photos at the star-studded event in NYC. The cover attracted so much attention that Glamour tracked down where to buy the $ 30 cover, by Zero Gravity: It’s sold at L.A.’s Kitson store and online.

The reality star recently took to her blog to refute a Star Magazine report that she and husband Bruce Jenner are planning to file divorce papers. “My husband and I have been married for over 20 years and I love him. We are so lucky that we get to have so much fun together and with our kids,” she wrote. “I also love that Bruce and I get to create so many amazing memories not just for ourselves, but also for our kids and grandkids. We are truly blessed.”

iPhone- 5- genuine- leather- case- luxury

PRLog (Press Release)Dec. 23, 2012 – ( http://www.lovegizmo.co.uk )
The case protects your iPhone 5 with a rubberized high quality housing which holds the iPhone in place while the leather seamlessly wraps around the screen with a magnetic fastening.

The leather feels great in your hand it pure luxury, unlike faux leather cases where the material feels rubberized, getting what you pay for is true in this case. The quality is noticeable as soon as you take it out of the box.

The case comes out of the box looking chic and not rigid at all as are faux leather cases; it doesn’t need aging to get the luxury feel as its genuine high quality leather sourced from the world’s finest tanneries.

The cover flips round the back of case seamlessly with the magnetic clip keeping it in place so calls can be made; camera cut out on the rear of the case makes it easier to take photos without having to remove the phone from the case to take snaps.

iPhone 5 swipe glitch threatens Fruit Ninjas

Saturday, November 10th, 2012

The iPhone 5 and fifth-gen iPod don’t seem to be able to handle rapid diagonal swiping, and the glitch could be in the hardware.

The diagonal swiping glitch only shows up on the iPhone 5, not the iPhone 4S.

(Credit: Screenshot by Eric Mack/CNET)

How many times have you been checking out a map of Flagstaff (or Salt Lake, Albuquerque, or Denver) in Apple Maps on your new iPhone 5 and then wanted to quickly swipe diagonally to the Four Corners monument only to find that iOS 6 suddenly goes lag and unresponsive?

Never? Really? Guess I’m the only one obsessed with such geographical oddities. Well, some game developers have been reporting issues with the iPhone 5 not responding to rapid diagonal swiping. If the bug is more than just an iOS software glitch, it could limit the functionality of certain gestures.

The Next Web has surmised that because the glitch is not present on the iPhone 4S, but is also seen on the 5th generation iPod Touch, which uses the same new touch hardware as the iPhone 5, the issue is likely not with iOS 6 and not solved with a simple software update.

Check out the video demonstration below from Recombu, and don’t be surprised if the skills of Fruit Ninjas who play on Android begin to far exceed those who slice melons on iOS.

I’ve reached out to Apple for a response, and will update this post once I hear back.

Twitter Resets Passwords; Galaxy S III Tops iPhone; Secret Pinterest Boards Roll Out

Topping tech headlines on Thursday, Twitter users may have found a surprise in their inboxes this week, when the micro-blogging site sent password reset emails to users amidst concern over hacked accounts.

But, not everyone contacted had any reason for alarm. The service admitted Thursday that it unintentionally reset the passwords of a larger volume of accounts than those who may have actually been compromised. Twitter apologized for any inconvenience or confusion, but did not reveal how many emails were sent out, or how many accounts were actually hacked.

Meanwhile, the Samsung vs. Apple smartphone popularity contest continued in the third quarter, but Samsung emerged the victor. According to stats from Strategy Analytics, Samsung shipped 18 million Galaxy S III smartphones in the third quarter, grabbing 11 percent of the total smartphone market. Apple wasn’t too far behind, pulling in 16.2 million iPhone 4S shipments. But, many consumers were likely waiting for the iPhone 5 release, which happened at the tail-end of the third quarter.

In other news, virtual corkboard site Pinterest is rolling out the long-awaited secret board feature, allowing users to build up to three boards that will be kept private, perfect for keeping holiday gift ideas hidden. The option is gradually showing up on all Web users’ Pinterest page, as well as in the mobile iPhone, iPad, and Android apps.

Apple, Moto Patent Case Dismissed; Unlocked iPhone 5 Prices; Instagram Web Profiles

Topping tech headlines Monday, a Wisconsin judge threw out an Apple patent suit against Motorola.

Filed more than a year ago, Apple’s case objected to Motorola’s request for a 2.25 percent licensing fee on iOS devices which used a Motorola wireless patent. The trial was set for Monday, but when Cupertino refused to pay more than $ 1 per iPhone, the judge reportedly balked and canceled the proceedings.

In other Apple news, the Cupertino-based tech giant’s website revealed possible pricing details for factory unlocked iPhone 5 models. Though Apple has yet to make an official announcement, the site offers prices between $ 649 and $ 849, based on earlier unlocked models. According to the retailer’s website, the models will be available in both GSM and CDMA versions, in the white or black color option, with a price tag of $ 649 for the 16GB model, $ 749 for 32GB, and $ 849 for the largest 64GB model — about $ 450 more than carrier-subsidized versions from AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint.

Rock your iPad and iPhone to a full charge

Rocking chairs aren’t just for grandparents. The iRock has built-in speakers and charges your iOS device while you relax.

Kick back in your rocking chair. Relax. Knit some booties for your basset hound. Blast some AC/DC through built-in speakers and recharge your iPad at the same time. You have an iRock, an iPhone and iPad-charging rocking chair.

Though it’s still listed as being under development, a lot of details are already available for the iRock. It comes in five colors ranging from white to bright red. It is made from Swedish pine. It has a very classic shape. There’s no attempt at making the rocking chair look like it was built by Apple’s design team. That’s pretty refreshing.

The iRock includes a generator that turns rocking movements into power for your iPad or other Apple mobile product. Just set your device in the built-in dock and rock your low battery away. According to the iRock’s creators, Micasa Lab, a 60-minute rocking time translates into recharging an iPad 3 up to 35 percent.

The iRock is expected to cost about $ 1,700. Android fans will be out of luck. The product page says no Android connectors are available at the moment. Perhaps Android lovers could come up with their own Android-charging La-Z-Boy recliner.

The iPhone app that sucks out Facebook bikini pics

Tuesday, October 30th, 2012

App Badabing serves a vast social need — the need to look only at friends’ bikini pics.

Bad? Or just a convenient Bing?

(Credit: Screenshot by Chris Matyszczyk/CNET)

One should always appreciate those who truly understand the human psyche.

One should also always appreciate humanists who embrace the concept of honesty. They are so few.

Stunningly, there is now an iPhone app that manages to do both. It’s called, with all due subtlety, Badabing.

Badabing appreciates that, at heart, you don’t really enjoy staring at most of your friends’ Facebook pictures.

No, no. But when they’re on vacation — or merely lounging on some local beach — you are moved by the sight of seeing them in mere bathing attire.

Only then can you judge whether they normally wear girdles or Spanx. Only then can you fantasize or wince at their true corporal state.

I am bodily grateful to TechCrunch for having unearthed this social gem.

More Technically Incorrect

Badabing, one assumes, enjoys some little technological gizmo that allows it to identify photos that show a lot of skin.

Which means that the whole world will soon be outraged by the sheer immorality of its purpose. Indeed, the Sun, an apogee of understated modesty in all senses, is already fulminating with the headline: “Fury over iPhone App which searches through Facebook to find your friends’ rudest pictures.”

Legal scholars and humans will have already noted that all the bikini pictures on Facebook were presumably uploaded by people who’d like others to see their bikini pictures.

And yet the Sun is horrified that here is an app offering: “Find your friends’ sexy pics instantly.”

Those with their rationality intact will consider that most swimsuit shots might not score highly on the Pulchritude Poll. But rationality won’t stop them, will it?

Given that this delightful invention — which is marked by iTunes as downloadable only by those who are 17 and over — is a mere $ 1.99, it will surely experience a cascade of sales.

Until Apple bans it, of course.

Burglar uses iPhone as flashlight, accidentally records the crime

Monday, October 29th, 2012

Sometimes iPhones can be a little too useful, as a burglar discovers when he inadvertently creates the evidence of his own guilt.

iphone5 Burglar uses iPhone as flashlight, accidentally records the crime

Be careful, now, oh criminal.

(Credit: CNET)

If you’re going to burgle a house, iPhones can be very useful.

Sadly, for 23-year-old Emmanuel Jerome, his iPhone was useful to the police as well as himself.

Being of evidently subtle mind, Jerome decided not to turn the lights on at a home he and some of his friends burgled. Instead, he apparently used his iPhone as a flashlight.

Perhaps because his fingers were shaking with excitement or because his subconscious was desperate for him to be caught, he pushed another button too — which ultimately plunged him into a painful darkness.

More Technically Incorrect

You see, he seems to have been involved in several other unlawful pilferings, after which he was arrested.

It was then, as the Daily Mail reports, that the police wandered through his iPhone and discovered footage that did not appear to have come from “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.”

Jerome, who reportedly protested his innocence, received 44 weeks in jail for his telephonic misfortune.

Judge John Potter told him: “Significantly, in my view, camera footage of the invasion of that property was captured on your mobile phone.” Yes, it was significant.

If you are going to use your iPhone for nefarious purposes, please ensure that you are fully focused.

iPhones are easy to use. It’s just that sometimes they are slightly too easy to use.
