As hemlines go shorter in anticipation of warmer weather this season, so too do hairstyles. Gorgeous actress Jaimie Alexander is the latest celebrity to go under the shears and emerge with the hairstyle of the moment — the bob.

The 29-year-old actress hit the red carpet at the premiere of Iron Man 3 on Apr. 24 showing off her new haircut. Wearing a canary-yellow strapless column dress by Marc Bouwer, the willowy brunette, who played Sif in 2011′s Thor, looked stunning with her new bob.

She joins a host of other stylish actresses who had their tresses chopped to bob or lob length this year. Jennifer Lawrence, Felicity Huffman, Nikki Reed, Nicole Richie, and Naomi Watts all debuted shorter hairstyles in the past few months.

Alexander seems to have documented her hair transformation on Twitter. On Feb. 28, she tweeted, “Back to short. #ChangeIsGood ” A month later, on Mar. 29, she was ready for a trim already, tweeting, “haircut and highlights. #ChangeIsGood.”

The actress is currently dating Twilight‘s Peter Facinelli, 39. She met the ex-husband of Jennie Garth on the set of HBO’s Nurse Jackie. “Peter’s a classy guy who cares al ot about the people [around him]…he makes me laugh,” Alexander told Us Weekly on Nov. 29, 2012. “That’s really more than I’ve ever found with anyone else.”

The 32-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Kanye West in July, flaunted her baby bump in the tight ensemble that featured flowy long sleeves and a keyhole neckline.

Though West didn’t join Kardashian on the carpet, the mom-to-be did walk (in tall black pumps!) with sister Kylie Jenner, 15, who wore a stylish white pencil skirt and crop top for the event.

During the show, Kardashian took the stage to introduce a performance. “From her starring role in the movie Spring Breakers to the upcoming release of her fourth studio album, our next performing has been killing it,” Kardashian said, proudly showing off her bump on the stage. “She’s an actress, multi-platinum recording artist, and she’s here tonight to perform her new song for the very first time, ‘Come and Get It.’ Give it up for Selena Gomez.”

Super mom alert! A very pregnant Busy Philipps pulled double-duty, toting adorable daughter Birdie, 4, in her arms during a weekend birthday party in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Saturday, April 13. Philipps, 33, and husband Marc Silverstein looked excited to be spending family time together as they left an afternoon birthday party at a local park.

Philipps, who announced her pregnancy via Twitter in mid-December, dressed up her growing baby bump in a combination of patterns, including a form-fitting striped shirt, solid pink flats and a leopard-print jacket.

The happy mom looked attentive as she listened to her daughter chat about her day, alternately carrying her and walking with her hand-in-hand. Philipps previously told Us Weekly that Birdie “can’t wait to be a big sister.”

“She’s been asking for at least a year: When’s her baby going to come?” the Cougar Town actress told Us. “She talks to the baby and she’s just really thrilled. I told her though that it’s okay to feel two ways about it. It’s okay to feel really excited and also nervous or mad or scared.”

“I don’t want her to think she has to be super happy about it all the time because I know it’s going to be … a big adjustment for her,” she added.

Also on hand at the birthday party were fellow A-list moms Rachel Zoe and Jessica Alba, 31. Earlier this month, Philipps joked to Chelsea Handler that she’d “won the lottery” in terms of timing her pregnancy — thanks in large part to other Hollywood moms-to-be.

“If you wanna get knocked up as someone on television, you want there to be the princess, Kim Kardashian and Jessica Simpson to also be pregnant, because it just takes all the heat off of you,” she told the talk show host in an April 2 interview. “No one cares! Tisdale, 27, also recently posed nearly nude in a sexy shoot for the May issue of Maxim. In one of the shots, the actress flashes some major sideboob and goes pantsless as she tromps across the sand for the beachside shoot.

Luckily, however, the actress told Us Weekly at Thursday’s premiere that she’s figured out a fail-proof trick to stay in tip-top shape (perfect for her recent slew of daring outfits).

“I like to have [Victoria's Secret models'] pictures and it inspires me,” Tisdale said. “I don’t want to look like them but it’s good whenever I’m going to eat a pizza, I look at their pictures and I’m like, ‘just stay on track.’”

The actress looked to be in a good mood at Thursday’s premiere. An eyewitness tells Us that Tisdale looked glowing as she and rocker boyfriend Christopher French made their way to the comedic flick’s after party, where she mixed and mingled with costars Kate Walsh, Erica Ash and Ava Kolker.

“Ashley made out with her boyfriend Chris on the dance floor,” the onlooker tells Us. “She seems infatuated with him. She was dancing a ton and screamed across the room for her friends to come join her. … [she] seemed to be in a really good, upbeat mood. Christopher just let her shine.”

Supportive and proud mom-to-be! Fergie, who is expecting her first child with husband Josh Duhamel, attended the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards at the USC Galen Center in L.A. on March 23 to support her husband, who was hosting the show.

For the first time since announcing her pregnancy in February, Fergie wore a form-fitting ensemble that really showed off her baby bump. The Black Eyed Peas singer, 37, styled a short Mary Katrantzou dress with a fishtank print and yellow Roxane heels.

The 40-year-old host gave a shout-out to his wife by dressing up in a tight polka-dot dress and fake baby bump for an opening singing and dancing act. Fergie, however, showed up in the same outfit and jokingly rolled her eyes at her silly husband.
