During the Tuesday, May 7, premiere of the video for her first single, “Come & Get It”, Justin Bieber‘s on-and-off-again love told MTV News on Tuesday, May 7, that she got the ultimate thumbs up from Swift after the “22″ chart-topper sent Gomez a video of herself dancing to her new songs.

“She sent me a video and she’s, like, dancing,” Gomez explained. “She’s like the cutest dancer, because she has this little ponytail and her little bangs, and she’s like just the cutest thing in the world. She’s supported me from my first record to this one, and she’s heard all of my stuff, so she’s really sweet.”

Indeed, gaining Swift’s seal of approval was important for Gomez, as the Spring Breakers actress embarks on a new change for her summer-release album, seemingly ditching her wholesome image for a more mature, risky look this time around. Case in point: Her new “Come & Get It” video, where the 20 year old can be seen dancing sensually underwater and hitting her derriere in one suggestive dance scene.

Of the new record, Gomez says she hopes her fans see the transformation she’s had. “I definitely want them to know the growth that I’ve gone through,” she told MTV. “I love it, I’m excited.”

Swift wasn’t the only bestie the former Wizards of Waverly Place star was asked about, as she also gave major props to Demi Lovato, 20, for her own musical changes. Lovato and Gomez — who’ve been friends since meeting at a Barney audition as kids but have had rough patches in recent years — seem to have nothing but support for each other.

 ”The one thing I appreciate about Demi is that she has her own individual style, and that’s something she’s wanted to remain no matter where she is, and I definitely love that and admire that about her,” Gomez said, adding that she loves Lovato’s song, “Heart Attack.” 

Gomez will kick off her Stars Dance tour August 14 in Vancouver, Canada.

Shocking new video appears to show the fiery crash Monday of a civilian cargo plane at Bagram Air Field in Afghanistan. 

The American-owned plane bound for Dubai crashed shortly after takeoff, killing all seven people on board, according to the U.S.-led military coalition.

In the video, which military sources tell Fox News may have been taken from the dashboard camera of a servicemember, the Boeing 747-400 takes off, then appears suspended in the air for a moment before turning and nose-diving into the ground, erupting into a cloud of smoke and flames.

The Taliban quickly claimed responsibility for downing the plane, but NATO said in a statement to The Associated Press that the Taliban “claims are false.” The coalition says the cause of the crash was being investigated, but there was no sign of insurgent activity in the area at the time.

Capt. Luca Carniel, a coalition spokesman, said the aircraft crashed from a low altitude right after takeoff.

The plane — owned by National Airlines, an Orlando, Florida-based subsidiary of National Air Cargo — was carrying vehicles and other cargo, according to National Air Cargo Vice President Shirley Kaufman. She said those killed were four pilots, two mechanics and a load master, who was responsible for making sure that the weight and balance of the cargo is appropriate.

Five of the seven fatalities were from Michigan, said Kaufman.

Fox 2 reports one of the victims has been identified as Brad Hasler, a Michigan father of two whose wife is pregnant.

“Yesterday morning our family learned of the terrible tragedy that occurred at Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan, and that Brad was among the crew members who perished. Brad was a wonderful father to two young children, a beloved husband to a wife who is expecting another child, a loving son, and the most loyal and supportive brother I could have ever asked for,” Hasler’s brother, Bill, wrote in a statement released Tuesday.

The identities of the other passengers have not yet been revealed.

The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board and the Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority are investigating the crash, according to The Associated Press.

National Airlines was based until recently at Michigan’s Willow Run Airport, west of Detroit in Wayne County’s Van Buren Township. It carries cargo both commercially and for the military, Kaufman said. She said it employs about 225 people.

BREAKING NEWS: The FBI has identified two suspects in Monday’s the Boston Marathon bombing, releasing photos and video showing them and asking the public to help locate them.

The suspects, one of whom wore a a dark ballcap and the other who wore backwards white ballcap,appear to be in their twenties and were captured on footage near where one of two explosions killed three and injured 176. In video that appears to be from a surveillance camera and which was shown by the FBI, both suspects are walking west on Boylston Street, near the finish line and where the explosions occurred.

“We consider them to be extremely dangerous and armed,” said FBI Special Agent Rick DesLauriers. “With the media’s help, we know the public will create a critical role in locating these suspects.

“The nation is counting on those with information to come forward,” he added, urging anyone who recognizes the men to call 1-800-CALL-FBI or go to the bureau’s website, FBI.gov.

DesLauriers said investigators first focused on one man, then realized he appeared to be working with another man.

“Through the last day or so, we developed a single person of interest,” DesLauriers said. “Indeed, though that process we have identified a second suspect. We believe they are associated.”

The second suspect was seen dropping a backpack as both walked single file on Boylston Street, where both of the bombs exploded, DesLauriers said. It is believed that was the second bomb, which went off 12 seconds after the first one, at about 2:50 p.m.

It could not be determined from the photos whether the suspect terrorists were homegrown of foreign, but DesLauriers said the pictures will be distributed internationally.

“Someobody out there knows them as friends, coworkers,” DesLauriers said. “Although it may be difficult, we are counting on those [people] to come forward.”

Authorities believe at least one of the bombs was a sealed pressure cooker laden with explosives and shrapnel, and may have been concealed in a backpack. Before the release of the images, amateur sleuths around the world have been examining widely circulated photos from the crowd, isolating on people with backpacks, but officials have warned against such speculation.

A mangled pressure cooker lid found atop a nearby building is believed to have been part of one bomb, and it and other pieces were being analyzed at an FBI lab. A battery and several pieces of shrapnel were also recovered and undergoing analysis. Fox News learned that the circuit board suspected of being used to detonate at least one of the bombs has been recovered, and that FBI investigators were also analyzing cellphone tower records to identify positive hits for signs of calls that may have been placed to trigger both explosions remotely.

Authorities are also interested in a battery believed to be used in one of the bombs, telling Fox News it was likely purchased with a remote control toy and then extracted the battery to use in the bomb. That could potentially make it easier to zero in on a suspect.

According to a FBI and Department of Homeland Security bulletin, the deadly shrapnel that caused the deaths — including of an 8-year-old boy, and critical injuries to 17 — included nails, BBs and ball bearings. The other device “was also housed in a metal container, but investigators could not say if that was also a pressure cooker.

An investigative source also told Fox News that there is a “significant social media footprint” on the bombings that is providing new leads to investigators. More than 30,000 social media messages were collected within a one-mile radius of the finish line in the 48-hour period surrounding the explosions – with “Twitter and Facebook lighting up” after the attack. The social media generated what are called link analysis charts – which showed “the relationships between social media messages that met investigative criteria.” Investigators are especially interested in messages that seemed “out of place or coded,” sources told Fox News. 

Monday’s horror unfolded just before 3 p.m., shattering a festive atmosphere several hours after the legendary race began on the city’s 238th annual Patriots’ Day. In the aftermath, officials found bomb remnants, shrapnel and shredded backpacks believed to have concealed the deadly payloads.

Investigators are also examining if the bombs could have been assembled near the scene of the explosions, The Wall Street Journal reports, quoting a law enforcement official. The official says this possibility is being considered because transporting improvised devices over a significant distance could trigger a premature detonation.

Scores of victims remained in hospitals, but the death toll has not risen since Monday. The doctors from Boston Medical Center credited some recent advances to dealing with trauma from techniques used in Iraq and Afghanistan. For one, doctors and first responders used component therapy instead of a lot of IV fluids. Component therapy can be used to promote blood clotting.

Gomez has been slowly growing out of her squeaky clean teen queen persona in recent months, thanks in large part to her role in director Harmony Korine’s gritty new film, Spring Breakers, about four co-eds who rob a restaurant to fund their spring break trip and then fall in with a drug dealer (played by James Franco).

“Disney was my life, and in a way, it’s all I knew, so once that ended, I definitely think it was good for me to go to an extreme like this,” the Wizards of Waverly Place actress told MTV News of why she took on such a racy role. “That’s what was so liberating about it.
